Mission Statement
What Sets Us Apart
The Great Commission recorded in St. Matthew 28:18-20 commands us to “Go ye therefore, and teach
all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching
them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even
unto the end of the world.” Amen.
Based upon such a commission:
Calvary Temple Evangelical Church of Christ, Int’l., Mount Vernon, is committed to equipping and
empowering believers (through frequent prayer, fasting, and the study of the Word), to share the
Gospel of Jesus Christ (the good news of salvation) by preaching, teaching, witnessing and serving,
thus making disciples of non-believers through the power and work of the Holy Spirit, beginning at
home and filtering throughout the world to all nations.

The vision of Calvary Temple, Mt. Vernon is to preach the undiluted Word of God, bringing sinners to repentance. Our goal is to continue to move beyond the four walls of the church into the wider community, as we expound, educate and encourage those who are lost.
